This book incorporates lessons from the ASLP Social Research project as well as three lifetimes of practical and academic experience in many settings. The authors explore how research and research culture can adapt to new approaches to international development. The modern emphasis is on collaborative, people-centred development. This book explains the evolution from technocentric to transdisciplinary approaches and provides step-bystep guidance, based on their Collaborative Research in International Development (CRID) research model.
