The ASLP mango value chain project is widely regarded in Pakistan as having had a major impact on the sector. It facilitated three entirely different types of value chain: co-operative export; high-value domestic via direct delivery; and village-level processing. None of these were in any way straightforward and the team were highly adaptive to evolving technical, relational and market dynamics. This exemplified many key principles of undertaking value chain interventions and these were captured by one of the final reviewers in this draft document for future reference. 2015
