Eucalypts for saline and waterlogged land

""

This chapter summarises approaches to establishing eucalypt species on salt-affected abandoned land. This research has developed valuable data on optimum planting times and methods. It noted the intensive extraction of groundwater and evapotranspiration by trees, helping to address waterlogging. Importantly, the paper notes the need to address the lack of demand for eucalypt timber in Pakistan.  2003
