As part of an Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research (ACIAR) project, FocusGroupGo and the University of Adelaide ran a pilot series of agribusiness research webinars during June and July 2020.
Each webinar is a short case study about real-world problems affecting men and women working in agricultural markets and value chains. They also provide insights into value chain research approaches.
A value chain approach links what happens at farm or factory to consumers buying products in the marketplace. Bridging the gulf between smallholders and the marketplace provides a path to improved livelihoods for smallholders. ACIAR’s value chain lessons from Pakistan and guides to value chain thinking are highlighted.
The toolbook provides value chain practitioners with an easy-to-use set of tools for value chain analysis, with a focus on poverty, gender, and social inclusion. The toolbook is developed for field-based researchers and practitioners
