Women in Pakistan have limited opportunities to engage in citriculture. However, the project team noticed that women were actively budding trees in informal backyard nurseries. High-level training was provided in Islamabad and, for the top-performers, at a commercial nursery in Thailand. These skills were widely shared and women were able to make an extra profit of 100 rupees for each high-quality tree. 2016
