Could rural women hold the key to collaboration?

""

Research finds that “bridging”, or inter-household collaboration can help improve rural livelihoods. However, the strong ties in a typical Pakistani family can sometimes make this difficult. This paper reports that households where women have a greater role in household decision-making are more likely to be successful in bridging initiatives. Therefore a more collaborative decision-making model in the household could spark collaboration outside the household. This in turn is the key to many aspects of rural livelihood and well-being.
