Improving gender equity and empowerment of women and girls is one of ACIAR’s six key objectives identified in its 10-year Strategy 2018-27. The Social Sciences program is leading the shift in incorporating a gender lens to all ACIAR’s research. As ACIAR’s CEO has stated:
“Gender is not just about women and girls. Improving gender equity benefits everyone. Achieving it requires men to step up and be drivers of change.”
